‘It Is Time To Get Healthy’ – Ex- APC Spokesman Nwuke Says As He Joins PDP In Rivers

Immediate past spokesperson of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke, says he is jubilant that he has left the party which he described as an abode where members survive on “aspirin, panadol, daily malaria” and says “it is time to get healthy”.

Speaking at a post-defection ceremony organized in his honour alongside other decampees from the APC, Nwuke said he decided to cross to the PDP because the APC failed to fulfill its promises to the people of Etche after six years in power.

“We have been in the wilderness for the last six years. My people were promised change and development but we saw nothing. I am happy we have found development partners. I have come home. There is nothing better than home.”

Nwuke commended Governor Nyesom Wike for his developmental strides in Etche, and for the recently awarded Chokocho-Igbodo road.

He said the announcement of the award of contract was soothing to every native of Etche.

“We have seen the good roads you built. First, you built the two-carriage Igwuruta to Chokocho [road]. You crossed the river and built Odofor. Then just on Monday, you announced the Chokocho-Igbodo Road. There is jubilation in Etche. There could have been no better news,” he said.
