JUST IN: APC Congress: Security Agents Flee As Hoodlums Invade Ogun Monarch’s Palace

There was pandemonium at the palace of the Alake of Oba Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, when hoodlums invaded the palace to disrupt the state congress being held there by a faction of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State.

An APC faction loyal to former Governor Ibikunle.Amosun had rented the event centre inside the palace for their parallel congress.

The two factions of the APC in the state are being led by Governor Dapo Abiodun and Amosun, his predecessor.

It was gathered that the hoodlums who were armed with dangerous weapons were not resisted by the police and other security agents present.

The party members who initially fled later regrouped and started hurling stones at the hoodlums forcing them to beat a retreat.

After this, the angry party faithfuls chased away the security men from the venue.

Amosun’s faction had picked the palace as the venue of its congress, while Abiodun’s faction is holding its congress at the MKO Abiodun Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.
