JUST IN: Two Die As Gunmen Attack FRSC Officials In Nasarawa

Two officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were killed when suspected kidnappers attacked two buses conveying them at a location in Nasarawa State on Monday.

The officers were 26 in number.

According to The Punch, this was confirmed by the Corps Public Education Officer, ACM Bisi Kazeem.

He disclosed that four of the officers were injured in the attack, while 8 escaped unhurt and ten unaccounted for.

The officials were attacked on their way to a state in the South-East at Udege junction, along Mararaban-Udege between Adoka, Nasarawa state.

The personnel were travelling from Sokoto and Kebbi states command of the corps for a training at Udi.

Kazeem, however, said efforts had commenced to rescue the abducted operatives.

The attack came days after the Defence Headquarters confirmed that Boko Haram terrorists were planning to attack the FCT and neighbouring states, including Nasarawa.
