La Liga To Resume June 11

The Spanish La Liga has joined the English Premier League and the Italian Seria A to announce 11th of June as a possible resumption date for games in Spain after footballing activities were halted across the world due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The La Liga president, Javier Tebas, disclosed this on Friday in a statement to Marca.

“The important thing will be to know the end date of the 2019-20 season.”
“The next one will start on September 12.
“God willing, we will restart on June 11. We are waiting for Madrid and Barcelona to move onto phase two of easing of lockdown rules.”

Recall that the Spanish government last week gave the La Liga heads up to restart the league from the 8th of June.

La Liga clubs still have about 11 rounds of matches to play and currently, Fc Bacelona are toping the league with Real Madrid two points behind before the league was halted because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The German Bundesliga is the only top-flight European league to have resumed their league games and have played three match days already.
