NYSC: We Want Corpers In Our Schools- Ganduje Urges Members Not To Reject Posting

Kano State governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has told new corps members not to reject being posted to teach  in secondary schools in the state, stressing that their services  are most needed in the education sector.

This is just as the state Coordinator of National Youth Service Corps  (NYSC) Alhaji Ladan Baba urged the state government to assist the agency with utility vehicle for inspection of Corps members locations to enable the scheme adequately supervise and monitor the over 10,000 members serving in the 44 local government areas of the state.

Governor Ganduje who was at the closing ceremony for the 2019 Batch “C” stream 11 orientation course held at NYSC permanent camp, Kusala dam ,Karaye on Wednesday ,said the state had declared education free and accepting to serve as teachers would further boost education in the state.

“Our aim is to have unhindered access to free ,compulsory and quantitative education and you all must be part of this efforts and should therefore remain steadfast in upholding the lofty ideals of the scheme,”he said.

While speaking on the occasion, the state coordinator  ,Alhaji Ladan Baba told the new corps members that “It is expected that you will make contribution in agriculture, health and education sectors and in the on-going programmes  of the state tagged “Ganduje New Level With Difference.”

These include tree planting ,mass campaigns, financial inclusion ,campaign against drug abuse and other vices in the society .

Alhaji Baba also charged them to love and co-exist harmoniously with their hosts as much as possible and make positive impact in the community they serve.
