Ondo: Akeredolu, Jegede Win Polling Units In Tight Gov’ship Race

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Rotimi Akeredolu, and Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democrstic Party have both won the election held in their Polling units.

Akeredolu scored 413 votes to win at the unit.

The candidate of the PDP, Eyitayo Jegede scored 12 votes while the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, who is also the candidate of the Zenith Labour Party polled no vote.

Jegede polled 220 votes to defeat his closest rival Akeredolu, who managed 60 votes.

Jegede voted at Unit 009, Ward 2, Akure Local Government.

While there are several candidates in the election, the contest is believed to be between the candidates of the PDP and the APC.
