Italy have bounced back to their winning ways to beat Belgium 2:1 in the UEFA Nations League
The current Euro Champions lost out of the finals after Spain won 2:1 in their semi-final.
The defeat ended their 37-match world record unbeaten run, while Belgium lost their chances after leading France 2-0. They later lost 3-2 in stoppage time.
In the third place tussle, Itali’s Nicolò Barella opened the scoring at the 46th minute of the start of the second half.
Domenico Berardi doubled Italy’s lead from the spot in the 65th minute.
Belgium scored their only goal in the 86th minute after C. D. Ketelaere converted Kelvin D. Bruyne’s pass.
