Police Arrest One In Connection To Killing Of UNIBEN Undergraduate

One suspect has been reportedly arrested by the Edo State Police command in connection to the murder of an undergraduate of the University of Benin, Uwa Vera Omozuwa.

The command said the suspect was arrested after fingerprints on the fire extinguisher she was attacked with, was examined.

But efforts by THE WHISTLER to get the true update of the story from the police Spokesman, Chidi Nwabuzor, did not yield any result as he did not pick his calls at the time of filing this report.

Recall that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had on Monday, deployed additional investigation and forensic support to Edo State Police Command to complement and expedite actions in the ongoing investigations into the unfortunate incident.

Omozuwa was reportedly gang raped and killed in a church in Edo State when she went there to read.
