Police, Soldiers Barricade Sahara Reporters Lagos Office

The troubles of Omoyele Sowore seem to be taking a different dimension following the invasion of Sahara Reporters premises in Lagos by the police.

The office located at GRA Ikeja is currently been barricaded by the armed security operatives and have prevented anyone from gaining access to the building.

The operatives, who came with three vehicles stationed themselves in front of the office and are said to be demanding that those who are inside should come out.

According Sahara Reporters, the security agents were shouting, “Open the gate! Come outside.”

Reports say the security operatives were banging on the gate of the office.

Sowore, Publisher of the news medium had been in the custody of the Department of State Service since August when he was arrested at a Lagos hotel.

He was arrested for calling for a nationwide protest, tagged #RevolutionNow. Another protest had been scheduled for Wednesday (today) and SaharaReporters have claimed that was the reason of the presence of the security operatives.
