Our attention has been drawn to the above-mentioned publications, and we have carried out our own independent search and found out that the Press Release published by the Association of Small Scale Steel Marketers and Scrap Dealers of Nigeria (ASSMSDN), upon which we relied to make our comments are devoid of facts.

Consequently, we hereby withdraw the said publications and tender our unreserved apology to Ms. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti and all persons the story may have affected one way or the other.
The staff that caused the stories to be published without verification have been sanctioned
