#RevolutionNow: Heavy Security As Sowore’s Supporters Protest In Abuja Court

Supporters of the RevolutionNow convener and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoleye Sowore, stormed the Federal High Court, Abuja on Wednesday, in protest.

THE WHISTLER earlier reported that the federal government is prosecuting Sowore and Olawale Bakare on an amended charge of treasonable felony.

The continuation of Sowore’s trial is scheduled to hold today, Friday, before Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu.

The protesters, comprising majorly of youths, held placards which read ” Free Sowore”, outside the court premises.

A young man who spoke audaciously on behalf of the crowd, claimed that the federal government was being unjust to Nigerians.

“The Nigerian Government wants to turn us all into animals.

“People always say that Nigeria is a zoo but I disagree…Nigeria is not a zoo,” he said.

Meanwhile, the police force, civil defense and court security officials were around to ensure order amid the protests.

Sowore and Bakare earlier pleaded not guilty to the charges.
