Take Up More Acting Roles In Nollywood Movies, Basketmouth Urges 2Baba

Popular comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha, aka Basketmouth, has extended an invitation to legendary musician, Innocent Idibia (2Baba), urging him to embrace a full-fledged acting career within the Nollywood industry.

Basketmouth, who was impressed by 2Baba’s recent role in his skits, “The Secret Of Lulu,” expressed his enthusiasm on social media, revealing plans to create a dedicated project for 2Baba’s comic character.

Taking to his X handle, Basketmouth wrote, “My brother @official2baba, we should create something beautiful from this character you played here. I think it’s going to be a masterpiece. My brain don dey cook something already. Think about it blood.”

This proposal comes on the heels of 2Baba’s notable participation in the reality series ‘Young, Famous and African’ on Netflix, where he showcased a different side of his personality alongside other famed stars in Johannesburg, South Africa.

While 2Baba had previously dipped his toes into Nollywood with roles in movies such as ‘Head Gone,’ ‘Make A Move,’ and a cameo in ’10 Days In Sun City,’ Basketmouth envisions a more substantial contribution from the music icon to the Nigerian film industry.

As of the time of press, 2Baba has yet to respond to Basketmouth’s proposal as fans were impressed over his acting skill in the skit while others encouraged him to take on a more prominent role in Nollywood movie industry.
