Twitter Suspends NCC’s Account For ‘Violation’

American microblogging and social networking service, Twitter has suspended the account of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) over possible ‘violation’.

THE WHISTLER observed that the NCC Twitter handle (@NgComCommission) was tagged “Account suspended”, as of the time of this report.

“Twitter suspends accounts which violate the Twitter Rules,” the social media service stated on NCC’s account.

According to Twitter rules, it suspends an account for a number of reasons including violence, Terrorism/violent extremism, Abuse/Harassment, Hateful conduct, sensitive media.

Meanwhile, THE WHISTLER called an official line on the NCC’s website regarding the development but our correspondent was referred to three other persons who did not speak on the matter.
