UEFA Nominates Oshoala For Fans Team Of The Year Award

Nigerian Super Falcon captain and forward, Asisat Oshoala has been selected along with 50 other women for the 2020 UEFA Fans Team of the year awards.

The FC Barcelona Fermení striker has been in great form since joining the Blaugurana, scoring 20 goals in 19 appearances last season and has bagged two in six league games this season.

A statement from UEFA site says the nominees were selected by the editorial team of UEFA and the selection will be validated by a technical panel.

“The nominees are proposed by the UEFA editorial team before being validated by the technical observer panel on the basis of their performance in UEFA competitions and domestic competitions with UEFA member associations from January to December 2020.

“The UEFA.com Team of the year is chosen to reflect the votes of the fans in parallel with player’s achievements over the course of the calendar year, moderated by the UEFA Technical Observer panel.”
