VIDEO: Moment VP Shettima Asked Gov Fubara To Greet Wike At Aso Rock

A viral video has surfaced showing when Vice President Kashim Shettima nudged Rivers State Governor, Siminilayi Fubara, to go and greet his former principal and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had summoned a State of the Nation meeting that had in attendance state governors as well as the FCT Minister.

In the 23-second clip, the Rivers State Governor had walked passed Wike and approached the Vice-President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, extending his hand to shake them.

After the brief exchange of pleasantries, the VP nudged Governor Fubara and pointed him in the direction of Wike.

Subsequently, the Rivers Governor approached his former boss, exchanged a handshake with him and returned to his seat.

The relationship between Fubara and Wike went sour barely months after the former’s swearing-in as governor.

Wike also accused Fubara of trying to tamper with his “political structure” in Rivers State.

The intervention of the president led to the signing of a peace pact by both parties a few months ago.

The signed resolution document contained eight items, including that Fubara and his team would withdraw all the court cases they instituted against state assembly members loyal to Wike and that the Rivers Assembly would drop all impeachment proceedings against the governor.
