VIDEO: ‘There’s A Blood-Sucking Demon On Otedola Bridge’ – Woman Reacts To Tanker Explosion
A massive fire broke out on Otedola Bridge, Lagos State, on Saturday after a tanker filled with diesel exploded on the popular bridge connecting Lagos State to the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Viral social media videos showed the raging fire on the dual carriageway bridge, causing panic among motorists and passersby plying the route.

In one of the videos, a woman could be heard saying it had become a patern for such incidents to occur toward the end of every year on the popular bridge.
Speaking in Yoruba, the woman said: “There is devilish spirit on that Otedola Bridge. That was how an explosion occurred last year and killed people’s children.”

The South West acting zonal coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, had told journalists that the incident which involved a tanker, haulage truck and a Toyota Camry, did not result in any fatality.
The incident came about two months after truck loaded with fabric collided with the a petrol tanker at midnight on the bridge, resulting in the destruction of several vehicles.
