5 Escape Death As Truck Rams Into Motorcycle In Anambra

An unmarked Nissan truck, Tuesday, rammed into a Cartartec motorcycle opposite Deeper Life Church, Umunze, in Anambra State. An eyewitness report said the crash was due to mechanical fault from the truck, which led to loss of control, before ramming into the oncoming motorcycle.

THE WHISTLER gathered that a total of five persons, comprising four male adults and one female adult, were involved in the crash.

RC Florence Edor, the sector public education officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Anmabra State, confirmed that, “Two male adults, including one female adult being carried on the motorcycle, sustained varying degrees of injury and were taken to hospital for medical attention.”

Meanwhile, the sector commander, FRSC, Anambra State, CC Andrew A Kumapayi, while wishing the injured persons accelerated recovery, warned motorists to ensure constant maintenance of their vehicles in order to prevent their breakdown on the highways and preventable road traffic crashes.
