Recall that on August 5, NIDCOM’s Secretary, Dr Sule Bassi, had visited the Lebanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Houssam Diab, over the viral video of Nigerian girls stranded in Lebanon.

He had urged the diplomat to help bring the girls back home.

On his part, Houssam assured that the Lebanese Government was committed to bringing back the girls.

”We will stay in close cooperation with the Diaspora Commission, and also the House Committee on Diaspora Chairman, Tolu Akande-Sadipe, who is working with us closely and hopefully we will be able to bring these girls back to Nigeria”, he said.
