Abia Deputy Speaker Builds Toilet For Constituents

The Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu, on Monday commissioned a modern toilet facility built by him for the people of Okagwe community in Ohafia.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony at Okagwe Village Square, the Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu, stated that the project was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people during the electioneering period.

He thanked the community for their support for him while pleading with them to take proper care of the toilet.

In his own speech, the Transition Council Chairman of Ohafia LGA, Chief Fred Eke Idika, who handed over the project on behalf of the Deputy Speaker, thanked the lawmaker for constantly delivering dividends of democracy to the people of Ohafia.

The Chairman commended the Deputy Speaker for being a true representative of his people and urged the people of Okagwe to make judicious use of the project.

Earlier in his speech, the traditional ruler of Okagwe community, Ezeogo Achi Ukoji, eulogized the Deputy Speaker for extending his good works to the community. He assured lawmaker of the continued support of the community in his political aspirations.

The Youth Coordinator, Okezuo Abia, Mr. Kalu (Kalusha), immediate past Chairman of the PDP Isiama Ward, Mr. Ikechukwu (Papso), Comr. Aladdin Ukoha, the Elders in Council, youths and women from the community were present during the event.
