Again, DHQ Claims Several Bandits Killed In Kaduna, Silent On Figures

The Defence Headquarters said on Friday that the Air Component of Operation THUNDER STRIKE killed several bandits and destroyed their meeting venue in Kwaimbana Forest area of Kaduna State.

Defence Spokesman, John Enenche, who stated this, said the strikes took place on Thursday.

He explained that the air raid was conducted after a series of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions identified the hideout and a building used by the bandits as a meeting venue.

Enenche did not, however, disclose how many of the bandits were killed.

He said: “Accordingly, the Air Component dispatched Nigerian Air Force (NAF) jets and helicopter gunships to attack the location.

“The attack aircraft took turns in engaging the target area, scoring accurate hits which resulted in the damage of the building as well as neutralization of several bandits.”
