Aisha Buhari Speaks On IPOB, Says Kanu Took Advantage Of Her Husband’s ‘Sickness’

The wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, has said Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), took advantage of her husband’s “sickness” to become popular.

Aisha said this on Monday during a stakeholders meeting on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition which held at the State House in Abuja.

At the event organised by her pet project, Future Assured, the First Lady said Kanu was able to rally the support of his fellow Biafra agitators during the president’s protracted medical vacation in London.

“As a result of the president spending several months outside Nigeria, a 40-year-old man who was still living in his father’s house created a state and that is a major setback for the country and the health sector did not benefit,” she said.
