Recall that Justice Danlami Senchi delivered the judgment sacking Oshiomhole on Wednesday.

Justice Senchi also asked Oshiomhole to step down as APC national chairman pending the outcome of a suit seeking his removal from office.

The FCT High Court had previously refused to grant an ex-parte application filed by the APC north-east national vice chairman, Mustapha Salihu, former Edo State chairman of the APC, Anselm Ojezua, among others, seeking Oshiomhole’s removal from office.

The APC members filed the application after the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led faction of the APC in Edo State announced Oshiomhole’s suspension from the party in the state.

But Justice Senchi had refused to grant the request on the grounds that Oshiomhole and other defendants in the suit were not put on notice before the motion was heard.

In the suit filed through their lawyers, Oluwole Afolabi, Mustapha Salihu, Ojezua and others, the applicants asked the court to order the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to stop Oshiomhole from accessing his office at the APC national secretariat.
