Breaking: Buhari, Niger Republic President In Closed Door Meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a meeting with the President of Niger Republic, Mahamadou Issoufou.

The meeting is being held behind closed doors in Buhari’s home town, Daura, Katsina.

Yousoufou was received at the airport by Governor Bello Masari of Katsina State before both left for Daura in a helicopter.

Issoufou said he was in Daura to felicitate with Buhari on his return from medical vacation.

He stated that the people of Niger Republic were happy at the return of the President in good health, stressing that the relationship between Nigeria and his country had been very cordial.

He further stated that the meeting will touch on issues on security, Lake Chad Basin and mutual relationship between the two countries.
