COVID-19: Nigeria Records Highest Daily Figure As Lagos, FCT, Plateau Lead

On Thursday, Nigeria recorded 1,964 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 states, with Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory and Plateau recording highest infections 824, 246 and 166 respectively.

The country has also witnessed a swing in the numbers of cases in other states such as Ogun with 79 cases and Nasarawa with 74 cases.

The record collated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) showed that Nigeria now has 116,655 confirmed cases of the disease .

The country has 93,646 recoveries after 1,310 persons got discharged on Thursday.

However, seven died, taking the nation’s death toll to 1,485.
