Davido Shows Love To Orphans, Increases Donation To N800m

Afrobeats musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has pledged to donate the sum of N300 million to orphanages across the country.

The singer made this known in a tweet on Tuesday, describing the donation as part of his yearly contribution to the needy in the country.

“I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation (love emoji).. details of disbursement tomorrow,” he posted on X.

THE WHISTLER reported that the singer donated N250m to orphanages across Nigeria during his 29th birthday in 2021.

Davido said his goal was to make the donation a yearly tradition in celebration of his birthday and to give back to those in need.

In 2022, the Davido Charity Foundation also donated the sum of N237 million to 424 orphanages and Paroche Reach Out Foundation for the prevention of drug abuse nationwide.
