The Federal Government has declared Friday and Monday as public holidays to mark the Good Friday and Easter celebrations.
This was announced by the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (red), in a statement issued by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido on Tuesday in Abuja.
Maccido urged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the nation.
He enjoined all Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to “support, co-operate and join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari, in his sustained efforts to build a peaceful, united and virile nation.
“The minister wishes all Nigerians a happy Easter celebration,” he said.
