FIFA Ranking: Super Eagles Climb Three Places In September

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up 3 places to 64th in the latest FIFA ranking released by the world football body on Thursday.

Gernot Rohr’s men moved from 67th to 64th in world, the country is now ranked 14th in Africa.

In the continent, the Eagles are placed behind Cote d’Ivoire, Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia, Ghana, Congo DR, Egypt, Congo, Mali, Morocco, Cameroon, Guinea and South Africa.

Zambia, who Nigeria face next month dropped one place to 92nd in the world while Algeria dropped three places from 32nd to 35th in the world log and are number two on the continent.

Cameroon, another country facing Nigeria in the World Cup qualifiers, dropped five places to 59th in the world.

Globally, Argentina, Belgium Germany and Colombia occupy the first, second, third and fourth position respectively.

Brazil – August’s biggest points scorers – limped from 10th to 5th, to make up the top 5.
