The alleged loot was repatriated by the Federal Government from the United Kingdom.

Idris disclosed this in Abuja on Tuesday when he appeared before a House of Representatives’ Ad hoc Committee.

Recall that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, SAN, had said that the repatriated funds would not be returned to the Delta State government.

He explained that the agreement to channel the funds towards the Second Niger Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and other projects was already sealed and signed between the Nigeran government and the United Kingdom.

Idris, however, advised the Delta State government to take the federal government to court if funds were not returned, adding that such funds were always returned to state’s treasury accounts when recovered.
