JIGAWA: 648,000 Residents To Receive 300,000 Bags Of Rice, Beans, Others As Gov Calls For Spiritual Resilience Amid Hardship

Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has urged citizens to pray in the face of Nigeria’s current challenges.

While speaking at the launch of a food distribution initiative at Aminu Kano Triangle, Dutse, Namadi encouraged citizens to unite in collective prayer, particularly during the upcoming month of Ramadan to navigate the difficult times.

He assured the public that both state and federal governments are actively implementing practical measures to address economic and social concerns.

“In times of difficulty, our faith and prayers can serve as a powerful force for positive change.

“I urge citizens to embrace a collective prayer effort, especially during the month of Ramadan to navigate through these tough times.”

The state’s commissioner for special duties, Auwalu Sankara, said the support includes the distribution of 150,000 bags of rice, 150,000 bags of maize and 100,000 cartoons of spaghetti.

Sankara added that the aid is expected to benefit approximately 648,000 people, which aim to alleviate the hardships caused by inflation and the removal of subsidies.
