Just In: Bandits Abduct Over 30 Female Students In Kebbi

Suspected bandits have reportedly abducted no fewer than 30 female students from the Federal Government College in Birnon Yauri, Kebbi State.

The assailants were said to have invaded the school premises in their numbers on motorcycles from a neighbouring forest.

Reports said the armed group overpowered the security personnel guarding the school and confiscated their vehicle.

The attack on the school was carried out in the early hours of Thursday.

The state’s commissioner of police, Adeleke Adeyinka Bode, confirmed the incident to THE WHISTLER in a phone interview, but noted that the command could not immediately verify the number of abducted students.

The attack came six days after about seven students and two lecturers were abducted from the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, Kaduna State.
