Godswill Akpabio, the Senate Minority Leader, has wondered how residents of Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State coped under the leadership of Rotimi Amaechi.

Akpabio said this while commissioning the Kpopie-Bodo Road constructed by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

The Senator, who deemed Wike the best performing governor in Nigeria, further endorsed the governor for a second term, saying his developmental competence should be felt all over the state.

“From the pictures I have seen here, I wonder how you people lived before Wike became governor. Oh my people, you must have suffered. This road will help revive the economy of the area,” said the Senator on Monday.
