Man Who Stabbed Neighbour In Enugu For Accusing Him Of Stealing In Police Net

One Shuaibu Mohammed, 35, has been arrested by police operatives of Enugu State Command attached to Enugu Metro Area Command for allegedly stabbing and murdering a young man in his neighbourhood identified as Temple on 02/10/2021 at Akpuoga-Nike Layout, Emene.

The arrest, according to the state police public relations officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, was effected in synergy with personnel of the Emene Neighbourhood Watch Group on 03/10/2021 at about 1115hrs.

Ndukwe stated on Wednesday that, “Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect, who is a native of Wase LGA of Plateau State, but resides and works as a security man at Obinagu Chinwude New Layout, Emene, had on the said date vengefully attacked the victim for allegedly being part of those who caught, beat up, warned and released him for stealing.”

He said the state commissioner of police, Mr Abubakar Lawal, had ordered the Homicide Section of the state CID to ensure a timely conclusion of investigations and prosecution of the suspect.

Meanwhile, the lifeless body of the victim has since been taken to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead by medical doctors on duty and the corpse deposited in the mortuary for autopsy.
