Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has revealed that the team lacked quality in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham on Saturday.
The Red Devils snatched a point despite through Matthijs de Ligt despite taking a first half lead thanks to a goal from Bryan Mbeumo.
Tottenham scored two second half goals to go 2-1 up courtesy of goals from Mathys Tel, and Richarlison.
Manchester United finished with 10 men as striker Benjamin Sesko was injured after they had used all five substitutes.
Amorim said the team team needs to improve its game intelligence after another disappointing draw.

He said, “It was a complicated match, especially in the end. If you look at the game, the three points were there to take. I think we can be so much better to understand more what’s happening in the game.
“We lacked a little bit in the final third, the quality was not perfect. We fight in every adversity. We lost Harry Maguire, Casemiro, Benjamin Sesko and we lost two goals, but we still managed to score.
“That lack of quality in the simple things of the games, it wasn’t there. We move on.”
Looking ahead to the upcoming break, Amorim stated that the time will be used for vital improvement and assessment.
“All the players are internationals. We are going to use that space of time to improve not just the team, but the club. We have to check [our injured players].

“When you cannot win, you don’t lose, once again we did that. We have so much to grow as a team, because today was our day to win this game. We need to look at ourselves, we were not pressing with the same intensity, we felt comfortable but we need to understand that if we had more bravery we kill the game. But sometimes this happens, you have a better first half than second.
“We believe in our capacity to score goals until the last minute. It’s a little frustration, but also pride at the response of the players at the response to second goal of Tottenham.
“This is the tip of the iceberg, we are at the beginning of becoming a strong team, so we have a lot to do.”
In the other Premier League matches, West Ham earned a 3-2 win over Burnley while Everton defeated Fulham 2-0.
Tottenham maintained their third position on the log while Manchester United occupy the seventh position.
The Red Devils will be back in action against Everton after the international break while Tottenham will take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
