MAULUD: Ortom, Moro, Godday Preach Peace, Urge Muslims To Pray For Nigeria’s Unity

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has felicitated with Muslims in the state and other parts of the country on the occasion of the Eid-El-Maulud celebration.

Ortom assured the people of the state that his administration will continue to guarantee the safety of lives and property.

The governor, who stated this in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, also appreciated the people of the state and other Nigerians for the support given to his administration to surmount the security challenges the state was confronted with, especially in 2018.

While reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the creation of numerous economic opportunities for the people, Ortom called on muslims to use the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud to pray for peace and unity of the state and Nigeria at large.

In a similar vein, Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District in the senate, Abba Moro has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in his constituency and Nigerians on the occasion of the celebration.

In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on New Media, Emmanuel Eche Ofun, Moro used the occasion to call on muslims to pray for peace, security, stability and unity of the country, urging them to be guided by the attributes and lessons from the Holy Prophet Mohammed, which symbolizes holiness, peace, love and tolerance.

He also called on religious leaders in the country to preach peace and unity, and as well show love towards one another, noting that it is only these attributes that can make Nigeria attain greatness and development.

On his part, the member representing Apa/Agatu federal constituency, Samuel Odagboyi Godday also congratulated with Muslims on the Eld-El-Maulud celebration.

According to a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Peter Ochohepo, Godday enjoined Muslim faithfuls to see this year’s celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammed as a season to reflect on the core values and Holy practices of Islam. 

He further charged Muslims to pray for unity and peaceful coexistence amongst Nigerians stressing that peace is priceless and ought to be safeguarded at all times.
