Netanyahu Kicks As 21 Israeli Soldiers Fighting Hamas Killed In Building Explosion

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has vowed to continue fighting with Hamas militants in Palestine following the killing of 21 Israeli soldiers during a fight with the militants in Gaza on Monday.

According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the military operation against Hamas which started on October 7 has led to the deaths of 219 personnel and about 1200 civilians.

On their side, Gaza authorities said over 25,000 persons have lost their lives including the militants.

The IDF spokesperson, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in a statement on Tuesday that the development is the “biggest single loss of life for Israeli troops” inside Gaza but assured sustaining its battle against Hamas.

Providing details of the incident, Hagari said two soldiers were hit by a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) while a two-storey building collapsed hitting others within and around it.

“The buildings probably exploded because of the mines that our forces laid there, in preparation to demolish them and the infrastructure around,” Hagari said, adding that an investigation into what caused the building to explode was underway.

Reacting via his official Facebook page on Tuesday, Netanyahu said the incident is one of the hardest days since the outbreak of the war against Hamas.

Netanyahu assured Israel’s citizens that the IDF would learn from it.

His words, “I ask to strengthen the dear families of our fallen heroic warriors on the battlefield. I know for these families, their lives will change forever.

“I pray for our fallen heroic soldiers. I hug the families in this hour of grief and we all pray for the peace of our wounded.

“The IDF opened a test of the disaster. We must learn the necessary lessons and do whatever it takes to save the lives of our soldiers.

“In the name of our heroes, for the sake of our lives, we will not stop fighting until the absolute victory.”
