PDP Targets Ondo As Makinde Joins Jegede On Campaign Trip After Obaseki’s Victory In Edo

Oyo State Governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, on Sunday joined the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Mr Eyitayo Jegede, at Ogbese for his campaign in the town.

Makinde, was among the PDP governors, who were in Edo State to give Governor Godwin Obaseki support in the Saturday governorship poll which the incumbent governor won.

While returning to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Sunday , Makinde joined Jegede to campaign in the town ahead of the October 10 governorship election scheduled to hold on Ondo State.

Makinde, is the Chairman ,National Campaign Council of the PDP for the Ondo State governorship election 2020 and he has said the PDP would win the state and would use the victory expected in Ondo State as the needed tonic to spur the party to win the remaining four states for the PDP in 2023 general election.

Makinde’s tweet read, “On our way back home from Edo State, we stopped in Ondo State to join the campaign train of our great party,
at Ogbese town, Akure North Local Government Area.”

The Oyo State Governor had earlier congratulatulated Obaseki, his deputy, Philip Shaibu and the people of the state on their re-election and the landmark victory in the poll.
