Police Confirm Abduction Of Business Woman In Delta

The Police in Delta State have confirmed abduction of a businesswoman, Akpezi Okpidi, who was reportedly driving to her place of business when she was kidnapped on Saturday.

Okpidi was reportedly abducted at Otovwodo, Ughelli town, in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State about 8 a. m on Saturday.

The 33-year-old businesswoman was waylaid by a gang of four men along the Ughelli Township Stadium axis of the community.

An eye witness confirmed to the press that the gunmen shot into the air to scare people as they took her away in their vehicle.

She was dragged out of her Honda car into a black-tinted GLK Benz by the hoodlums and whisked her away, and eye-witness narrated.

The State Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, disclosed that the force was putting all effort to arrest the fleeing suspects and rescue the victim.
