Presidency Urges Health Professionals In Diaspora To Return, Invest In Nigeria

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Foreign Relations & Diaspora Abike Dabiri-Erewa has called on health professionals in the Diaspora to join hands and work with their colleagues at home.

Dabiri-Erewa made the call through her representative Dr. Badewa Williams during the 2018 Future of Health Conference tagged “FUTURE OF HEALTH: THE DIASPORA AS NIGERIA’S BRAIN GAIN,” at Sheraton hotel Abuja on Thursday.

The health professionals were further urged to engage towards bringing solutions to Nigeria’s health issues as they have helped develop other countries.

“A diasporan summit sponsored by the office of the Special Advisor on diaspora matters is coming up between November 27-29. Its purpose is to encourage Nigerians in the diaspora to return and invest in their country.” Dr. Williams said.

This is the fourth conference of the “The Future of Health Conference” series, a flagship event of “Nigeria Health Watch”, a health policy advocacy organisation on health in Nigeria.
