The whereabouts of the rescued Chibok school girl, Amina Ali, has become a mystery as the family and campaigners, Bring Back Our Girls, #BBOG, have demanded that President Muhammadu Buhari produces her as she was last seen with him at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The family and the #BBOG are fearing that they suspect foul between the Presidency, office of the National Security Adviser as well as the Borno State government.

The campaigners in statement marking the 800th Day of the mass kidnap of the more than 200 schoolgirls from Girls Secondary School Chibok by the deadly Boko Haram sect have also queried what the government is doing to try to rescue the other girls.

The Associated Press was told by an uncle of Amina, Yakubu Nkeki, by telephone: “Even this morning people came to my house asking if I had been able to find out her whereabouts. It’s outrageous! Some people are crying! We don’t understand why the government wants to keep her family away.”

Amina was found on May 17 in the Sambisa forest, with a four months old child and a suspected Boko Haram ‘husband.’

The girl was flown to the capital, Abuja, two days after her rescue for a meeting at which President Buhari promised her the best care and rehabilitation.

The #BBOG said no one has seen her since, not even leaders of the Chibok community where the girls were abducted. Ali earlier stated that some of the girls have died but most are alive, raising hopes they could still be rescued.

The #BBOG in a statement said: “On May 18, 2016, our Movement was elated at the rescue of Amina Ali as it rekindled the hope of all who have advocated for our schoolgirls that their rescue is possible.

“We recall that a number of promises were made at the reception held for Amima Ali and her family, by President Muhammadu Buhari. The comforting word of the President was, “Although we cannot do anything to reverse the horrors of her past, the federal government can and will do everything possible to ensure that the rest of her life takes a completely different course.”

“That promise set the standard of expectation for the rehabilitation, resettlement and reintegration of not only Amina Ali but her peers and other abducted citizens once they are rescued from terrorists.

“It is now more than one month since Ms. Ali was rescued and her avowed restoration process by the Federal Government as pledged by the President began. Having given reasonable length of time, our Movement has a number of concerns regarding Amina Ali as well as the rest of our ChibokGirls still in terrorist enclave.”
