Russia Prime Minister Contracts Coronavirus

Russia’s Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin has confirmed that his covid-19 test results showed positive.

He made the disclosure in a televised video interaction with President Vladimir Putin.

“The tests I did for coronavirus came back positive.

“As a result, I must observe self-isolation and fulfill my doctors’ orders, which is necessary to protect my colleagues.”

He also recommended that First Deputy Premier Andrey Belousov, takes his role as acting prime minister, for the main time.

But he added that he would be in active contact with Government by telephone and videolink.

On his part, Putin said he would keep involving him in areas of governance.

“What’s happening to you could happen to anyone,” Putin told him in the video conversation.
