Senate Confirms Captain Musa Nuhu As DG NCAA

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointment of Captain Musa Nuhu as the new Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

President Muhammadu Buhari had in October 2019 appointed Nuhu to take over from the erstwhile DG of the NCAA, Captain Muktar Usman.

The new NCAA DG was Nigeria’s permanent representative to the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Nuhu, an artificial intelligence expert, had previously served as an airline pilot, a safety expert and a quality assurance lead auditor.

He was confirmed as NCAA DG during the Senate plenary on Tuesday, following the presentation of a report by the Senate Committee on Aviation.

In his remark, Senate President Ahmad Lawan congratulated the new appointee and urged him to diligently pilot the affairs of the NCAA.
