Black face

Nigeria dance hall Courage Ngoye Mercy, known by his stage name Blackface is considered as one of the Nigerian musicians who has lost his musical touch in the Music Industry.

Blackface was a founding member of the Nigerian band Plantashun Boyz that he formed in 2000 with 2face Idibia and musician Chibuzor Oji better known as Faze.

Blackface, however, surprised us in 2009 with one hit song titled “Erimma” which was his first and last hit song since he became a single artist.

He claims one of his best songs which would’ve become one of the biggest evergreen songs in Africa was stolen by his then musical partner 2face.

He’s been trying really hard to make waves in the industry not knowing the unfortunate has happened… His career is long dead, the music industry has left him behind, Nigerians no longer enjoy his sounds and beats, even his mode of dressing is no no longer chic.

Its best Blackface start up something new since its very obvious his career is long dead!

9ice

Abolore Adegbola Akande better known by his stage name 9ice came into limelight with his song titled ‘Gongo Aso’. The track was like the biggest thing then across the country, especially in Lagos and the South West.

However, we can perfectly trace the decline in his musical career to his failed marriage.

He went missing for a while before coming back on the scene. He made some couple of failed Collaborations before releasing his current singles.

Dprince

Nigerian Afro-pop singer, songwriter Charles Enebeli, better known by his stage name D’Prince, has long lost his musical career.

One wouldn’t be far from the truth calling Dprince a musician who got fame due to his brother, Don Jazzy’s influence in the music industry.

The only notable thing we think he’s done in the music industry is releasing a one-hit wonder titled “Oga Titus” which he did so as not to totally get his career buried and sent to the deepest part of musical hell by the foxy breeze of dementia…. We’re forced to believe his career is dead and will take a very strong miracle to resurrect.

Di’Ja

Mavin’s 2nd lady after Tiwa Savage, Hadiza Blell known by her stage name Di’ja, is one of the musicians whose musical career appeared long buried

We believe 80% of Nigerians don’t know any of her hit singles… The songs she did with Glo as one of their ambassadors made her popular than all her singles.

Her career was a bit elevated when she collaborated with Patoranking in the hit song “Falling for you” Ever since madam is nowhere to be found…

We’re forced to believe she’s quit music to take care of her baby since she’s now a mom… We just hope when she’s back in the studio she wouldn’t find her career lying totally dead and buried with condolence flowers on the grave.

Olu Maintain

Olumide Edwards Adegbulu popularly known by his stage name “Olu Maintain” is considered one of those musicians who has far lost their musical career

The singer went into oblivion after a brief glistering moment on the musical red carpet due to his hit song “Yahooze”.

In 2017 Maintain tried to resurrect his career with a new tune Ewo on which he featured Ice Prince. There is still a chance for the singer to get his careeer back on, if he works harder.

Ice Prince

Panshak Zamani can arguably still be classified as an A-list artist notwithstanding his inability to release new songs after his old hit songs faded.

After releasing one of Nigerian’s biggest hits of 2016 titled “Molowo Noni” which he collaborated with Tekno, all other music he released afterwards could not get him out of the musical valley.

He’s really working hard these days to get back to his formal position. Ice Prince had on Wednesday released new video titled ‘Big Daddy Ice’, where he featured former big brother housemate C-cee.

Maybe this video will help the Jos-born rapper make his way back to the top.
