US Poll: We’re Ready For Legal Battles, Biden Team Replies Trump

The campaign team of the Democratic Presidential candidate and former vice president, Joe Biden, has said that it was ready to defend itself if President Donald Trump eventually heads to the Supreme Court.

THE WHISTLER earlier reported that Trump said he won the November 3 election after claiming that the opposition was plotting an electoral fraud.

He also said he would head to the Supreme Court to ask the apex court to halt collection of ballots after the polls were over,

But Biden’s campaign manager, Jen O’Malley Dillon , maintained that Trump could not stop ballots from being counted.

“The president’s statement tonight about trying to shut down the counting of duly cast ballots was outrageous, unprecedented, and incorrect.

“Never before in our history has a president of the United States sought to strip Americans of their voice in a national election.

“Having encouraged Republican efforts in multiple states to prevent the legal counting of these ballots before Election Day, now Donald Trump is saying these ballots can’t be counted after Election Day either.

“We have legal teams standing by ready to deploy to resist… and they will prevail,” he stated as quoted by AFP.

As of the time of this report, the results of few states are still be collated and a winner has not been declared.
