Another PDP Senator Quits Party, Joins Akpabio In APC

Another Senator of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Osinakachukwu Ideozu, has crossed from the opposition party to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ideozu joins the likes of Senator Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District and Senator Goddy Ogbaga of Ebonyi South Senatorial District who have both recently dumped the PDP for the APC.

Ideozu currently represents Rivers West Senatorial District in the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly.

The Senator’s defection was announced on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday by Majority Leader, Ahmed Lawan.

Ideozu’s defection now makes the three senators from Rivers State all members of the APC.

The two others are Senator Andrew Uchendu (Rivers East) and Magnus Abe (Rivers South East).
