BREAKING: UNTH Deputy Director, Security Guard Abducted by Gunmen In Enugu

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Ituku Ozalla, Enugu State. A security guard is also reported to have been taken alongside the official.

According to an eye witness who spoke to THE WHISTLER, the gunmen stormed the UNTH premises in the early hours of Tuesday and opened fire before abducting their targets. A trending video appears to show a bullet-riddled vehicle, believed to belong to the abducted staff member, parked within the hospital grounds. The incident has reportedly caused disruptions to traffic flow along the Enugu/Port Harcourt Expressway.

As of the time of writing this report, neither the Enugu State Police Command nor the UNTH administration have officially confirmed the attack.
