Chaos In Lagos As Hoodlums Raze TVC, Sanwo-Olu’s Family House

Some persons suspected to be hoodlums have torched the Television Continental, popularly known as TVC.

The TVC which is located at the Ketu area of Lagos is believed to be owned by former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

A popular talkshow programme, YourView, was on air when the hoodlums stormed the station and set it on fire.

The programme host, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, who said the hoodlums entered in a van, asked to go on a commercial break.

The station has been off air since and videos posted online confirmed by workers at the station said the assailants set fire to the station over its connection to a former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu.

It was also gathered that the family house of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Lagos Island has been attacked by another set of hoodlums.

It was gathered that the attackers beseiged the house located on Omidun Street and started hurling stones and bottles at it before it was eventually razed.

There have been renewed violence in the state following the shooting of peaceful protesters at the Lekki area of Lagos State on Tuesday night.

About seven persons were reportedly killed while over 30 were injured in the shooting as electricity supply to the area was switched off before the attack.

Sanwo-Olu imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state and has denied being responsible for the killings.

Tinubu has also said he would never support killing of peaceful protesters.
