COVID-19: Delta State Confirms Rise In Cases As It Recorded 33 New Infections In 24 Hours

Delta State Government says 33 new covid-19 infections have been registered in the area within 24 hours.

THE WHISTLER also gathered that the state has recorded daily increases in Covid-19 infections between Monday and Friday, totalling 146.

The government, in a tweet on Friday, stated that the covid-19 status of the state has risen to 400.

However, the government confirmed that 104 patients have been discharged while 278 were active.

Meanwhile, 16 deaths have been recorded, the government added.

The Covid-19 Presidential Task Force had expressed fears that covid-19 infection may increase across the country due to the easing of lockdown.

The PTF urged state governors to improve testing capacities, so as to effectively curb the covid-19 spread.
