JUST-IN: Oshiohmole Tests Negative For Coronavirus

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiohmole has tested negative for the novel Coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19.

A statement issued on Friday by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Lanre Issa Onilu, said Oshiohmole presented himself for the test on Thursday, following fears he could have physically interacted with persons who tested positive for the virus.

Onilu said the test result released on Friday confirmed that the national chairman was negative.

“Following fears he could have physically interacted with person[s] who tested positive to the coronavirus, Oshiomhole presented himself for a test on Thursday and it has just been confirmed that the result returned negative,” a part of the statement reads.

Since the outbreak of the virus in the country in February, three prominent Nigerians have tested positive for the disease.

They are: Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari and Edo State House of Assembly Speaker, Frank Okiye.
