JUST IN: Truck Driver, Motorcyclist Bale Out As Lady Crushed To Death In Imo

A blue colored truck with plate number ‘GUA-293XA, Imo’ conveying sand has crushed a young lady to death at maternity junction, along the Nekede/Ihiagwa road in Owerri, Imo State.

The deceased was riding on a commercial motorcycle.

An eyewitness told our correspondent that the commercial motorcycle rider was trying to overtake the truck while the lorry was making a U-turn when the incident took place.

“He was trying to overtake the truck as the truck itself was trying to turn and unluckily, the lady that he was carrying fell off and the truck crushed her head open, leading to her death,” said the eyewitness.

Our correspondent reports that the accident which occurred towards Friday evening had caused a gridlock along the road as the truck covered half of the road, while part of the ladies brain and blood smeared the road.

Both the driver of the truck and the motorcyclist are at large as a crowd of sympathizers were seen taking pictures and trying to identify the diseased.

As at the time of filling this report, the dead body was still lying on the road covered with leather.
