Ondo 2020: You’re Ajala The Traveller, Nigerians Attack Ajayi For Dumping PDP One Month After Joining Party

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi, has been subjected to ridicule on social media for dumping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) barely a month after joining the party.

Ajayi had joined the PDP after falling out with his boss and incumbent governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu.

He had resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest against Akeredolu in the October 10 governorship election in the state.

Ajayi’s defection from the PDP came weeks after he lost the party’s gubernatorial ticket to Eyitayo Jegede, who was the PDP flag-bearer in the 2016 governorship election in the state.

He announced in a tweet on Monday that he was leaving the PDP for the Zenith Labour party to further his aspirations.

“I appreciate the National Leadership and members of the party (PDP) for their warm reception and acceptance in the short period I rejoined the party,” Ajayi had said.
